Supporting the people who live on the street together with LG Hellas!

For another year, together with LG Hellas employees, we distributed 60 bags of isothermal clothing and blankets to people living on the streets.

We encountered people using the blankets at the same time we offered them, others who directed us to find other people sleeping outside, and there were several who were reluctant to accept what we were giving out, saying that they might take it away from some who needed it most.

But what we have seen, once again, is how equally precious is the warmth, through a conversation, a smile, a moment of communication. Stargazing is a daily battle in extreme circumstances, but the people who experience it still care about the person next to them. And this holiday season, we stand with them, for a world with more humanity and less loneliness.

We thank LG Hellas from the bottom of our hearts for standing by our side every year, in such an important action for those who experience the most extreme conditions of homelessness.

About Ithaca:

Ithaca, a non-profit organization founded in 2015, aims to reintegrate and increase the social inclusion of homeless people and other vulnerable groups. Ithaca operates the, first in Europe, mobile laundry unit providing hygiene services and work reintegration opportunities to people from socially vulnerable groups. To date it has helped 11,000+ people, completing over 48,000 visits, delivering 270+ tons of clean clothes. By providing psychosocial services, it has already responded to over 3,800 requests from beneficiaries, and has successfully contributed to the reintegration into employment of 75 people from vulnerable groups.
