Equal Opportunities for All: Ithaca at the WELCOME Job Fair
Τάσος ΡεπούσκοςIthaca proudly participated once again in the WELCOME Career Day, strengthening its commitment to creating equal opportunities for all. This year’s event was a great success with over 300 participants, highlighting the importance of labor market access for refugees, migrants, and vulnerable social groups.
WELCOME Career Day: A Step Toward Equal Opportunities
The 2024 WELCOME Career Day was dynamic and impactful:
- 326 participants representing 45 nationalities
- 26 companies from various professional sectors
- 1,302 interviews conducted and 173 job positions offered – all in one day!
The event opened with a briefing for employers on the legal and employment framework for refugee and migrant access to the labor market. Additionally, attendees had access to legal consultation, career guidance, and on-site CV printing.
Ithaca Promotes Equal Opportunities for All
For Ithaca, participation in this initiative is another important step toward social inclusion and support, actively contributing to the creation of equal opportunities for all. Employment is a key factor for the smooth integration of refugees and migrants into society, and actions like the WELCOME Career Day have a direct impact on their everyday lives.
The initiative was implemented by the ACCMR Working Group on Skills Development & Labor Market Access, in collaboration with:
UNHCR Greece, Greek Forum of Migrants, ΚΕΜ Municipality of Athens, Kivotos tou Kosmou, ΜΕΤΑdrasi, ActionAid Hellas, Caritas Hellas, Catholic Relief Services, International Rescue Comittee, Generation 2.0 RED, Ithaca Laundry, Junior Achievement Greece και SolidarityNow.
