Even though medical care is a fundamental human right, for many people living on the streets or in housing insecurity, it remains a distant and complex challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ithacalaundry.gr\/en\/\">Ithaca<\/a><\/strong>, our Social Service team receives dozens of requests every day from people who need basic healthcare support: help booking medical appointments, arranging tests, or covering costs that for most people are taken for granted. For those experiencing <strong>homelessness<\/strong>, navigating the healthcare system can feel like an endless maze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Support with a Human Face<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Through daily interventions, our <a href=\"https:\/\/ithacalaundry.gr\/en\/action-pillars\/integration-services\/#:~:text=Integration%20Services-,Social%20service,-In%20March%202021\"><strong>Social Service<\/strong><\/a> provide guidance, schedule appointments, and stand by every individual who needs it. Our mission is clear: no one should feel alone when facing the barriers of the healthcare system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">With the Support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the support of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.snf.org\/en\/?_gl=1*p4bwhg*_up*MQ..*_ga*NTc2NjU1MzIxLjE3NTAwODM3NDM.*_ga_NB3EJ8EJXY*czE3NTAwODM3NDIkbzEkZzEkdDE3NTAwODM3NDQkajU4JGwwJGg0NTkxNzE5Mzg.\">Stavros Niarchos Foundation<\/a> (SNF)<\/strong>, we can take this work one step further: we now have the means to reach even more people and give them access to their fundamental, essential, and vital right to medical care and healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Homelessness and access to healthcare<\/strong> should never be conflicting paths.
