Through the programme, over 150 volunteers actively participated in supporting the work of the agencies with collective activities such as creative art workshops and distribution activities targeting the homeless population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another major action that took place was the participation of volunteers in a research study on profiling in the homeless population. Foundation for Participation for Asteria is implemented in the framework of the Active citizens fund programme, with the Association &#8220;PRAKSIS &#8211; Social Support Development and Medical Cooperation Programmes&#8221; as implementing agency and the non-profit organisation Ithaca and the NGO &#8220;Society for the Study of Human Sciences&#8221; as partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u20ac13.5 million Active citizens fund project is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and is part of the European Economic Area (EEA) funding mechanism for the period 2014 &#8211; 2021, known as EEA Grants.
