Our team consists of various people, where each one has a different background, multiple skills and abilities, as well as a specific role and tasks in the organization’s functioning. However, we all have a common goal: to reduce the social exclusion of homeless people. Ithaca consists of the Board of Directors, the office and field employees as well as the volunteers. We all work together in order to achieve the goals of the organization and ensure its effective operation.
Panagiotis is the driver of the mobile unit and he is responsible for the daily operation, reception and service of Ithaca’s beneficiaries.
Kostas is the driver of the mobile unit and he is responsible for the daily operation, reception and service of Ithaca’s beneficiaries.
Antonis is responsible for the daily operation, reception, and beneficiaries’ service at the Municipal Center of Homeless People in Athens.
Ithaca’s volunteers are an integral part of the organization. They are mainly involved in the daily operation in the field and specifically, in the reception and service of the beneficiaries. They are also involved in several other fields that match their interests, such as photography, social media, graphic design, administrative support and web development. Since the beginning of our operation – when our services were offered by our volunteers exclusively – until now, the volunteers are offering their support to the society with an unflagging interest and commitment. Their contribution and assistance to our work are valuable for the organization’s proper functioning.
Through their involvement in Ithaca’s project and their support to the homeless people, our volunteers actively participate in the civil society. By offering their services to those in need, they get a sense of fulfillment and a personal satisfaction, while they become more aware of the social issues. Added to that, they develop their skills and they acquire valuable knowledge and experience.
